Obviously, this cocktail is not only for meant for lovers, but also for everyone that likes a classic moscow mule. Anyone who generally likes sweet and spicy cocktails might take a fancy to this one. If this is too corny for you, you could also use it as a blood-infused halloween cocktail. Just let your imagination run wild.
To be completely honest, we don’t actually need an occasion to drink the red valentines mule cocktail. It tastes great regardsless which day it is and looks quite nice aswell. You’ll enjoy a drink made of black currant and vodka. There are many different black currant liqueurs out there, but we tend to use Creme De Cassis De Dijon. It’s a creamy, tasty liqueur one could also enjoy on it’s own.
The sweetness of this cocktails comes from the cassis liqueuer, the fresh and spicy notes comes the fresh lime juice and the ginger beer. The vodka…well it just belongs to a variation of a moscow mule. And that’s how easily you can have your own red valentines mule cocktail!

Red Valentines Mule
Ingredients
- 40 ml Vodka
- 50 ml Creme de Cassis de Dijon
- 50 ml Lime juice freshly pressed
- 100 ml Ginger beer
- Ice cubes
- Lime slice to garnish
Instructions
- Add a few ice cubes in a glas.
- Pour the vodka and lime juice into the glas and stir.
- Fill up with ginger beer.
- Slowly pour Creme de Cassis over the back of a spoon into the glas.
- Garnish with lime slice.
Notes
- Creme de Cassis de Dijon is just the name of the liqueur. You could use any cassis liqueur instead.
- If you feel that this cocktail has too much alcohol, feel free to use cassis syrup instead.
